Welcome to the web site of the Office of Transportation Management (OTM), which responds to the parking and transportation needs of Georgetown's faculty, students and staff of the Main Campus, the Medical Center, the Law Center, University Services, and their visitors. We look forward to helping you navigate our campus and our community.

Parking at Georgetown is extremely limited. The University is located in a congested and busy urban area where street parking is severely limited and strictly enforced. Students who reside in University residence halls or townhouse properties are not eligible to park on campus; a limited number of spaces are available for commuter students at a satellite lot in Rosslyn, VA. A limited number of visitor parking spaces are available for visitors to campus. There are also a number of arrangements for individuals from the Georgetown University Law Center visiting campus, as well as members of Yates Field House.

Fortunately, there are convenient alternatives to driving to campus. The Georgetown University Transportation Shuttle (GUTS) provides frequent service to and from Metrorail locations at Dupont Circle (in the District) and Rosslyn (in Virginia), as well to the Georgetown University Law Center on Capitol Hill, University offices on Wisconsin Avenue in Georgetown, and an Arlington Loop shuttle. Routes and schedules are available through this link. GUTS service is free of charge to faculty, staff and students with University I.D.s and Georgetown University Hospital physicians, staff, patients and visitors. Visitors and persons doing business on campus may ride free of charge after presenting a valid picture ID. The Georgetown Metro Connection (unaffiliated with Georgetown University) provides frequent connections seven days a week in the Georgetown business district to the Rosslyn, Foggy Bottom/GWU and Dupont Circle Metro stations for a nominal fee.

A commuter bus from Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, MD provides weekday service for faculty and staff at a reasonable cost. OTM offers incentives for carpools, including a free matching service. The University also participates in the Metrochek and SmarTrip programs.
